BREAKING: ORTOM RETAINS 19 LOCAL GOVT CARETAKER CHAIRMEN, RELIEVES 4

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has reappointed 19 out of 23 Local Government Caretaker Chairmen following the expiration of their 6-month tenure yesterday. Those relieved include the Caretaker Chairmen of Konshisha, Ushongo, Logo and Okpokwu Local Governments. Confirming the development, the Chairman House Committee on Information, Hon. Bem Mngutyo said the list of the reconstituted local government committees was confirmed yesterday in an emergency seating of the State House of Assembly. Recall that we reported that the Caretaker Chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government was among those facing the sack, however new information revealed that the decision was reversed at the death after peace was brokered amongst aggrieved parties in the Local Government.
